The rock group The B-52's were on Press Your Luck! I remember it well! They were on in 1983. I remember when they stopped at a whammy. I took a picture of it. I remember it well!

I should say, this was further confirmed on the October 12, 1985 edition of Celebrity Bucket Kickers when Ricky Wilson, guitarist for the band (far left) competed against original TPIR announcer Johnny Olson, and Johnny told Ricky he remembered when they stopped at a whammy.
